Black Sun Light Sustainability was awarded almost $30 million to deploy 200 residential solar plus storage systems, 50 resiliency hubs with energy storage, and five community solar arrays statewide.

Black Sun Light Sustainability (BSLS) mission is to support the radical transformation and resistance of communities in Indiana by using renewable energy as a conduit to, collaborate connect and support the change of communities both domestically and abroad. To achieve this, we employ a multifaceted approach that bridges the gap between high-level policy and community action. Our services include comprehensive education and technical assistance, policy and advocacy, making it real through implementation and builidng, to a global understanding and connectivity. We also provide facilitation services that connect key stakeholders. We also lead impactful renewable energy demonstration projects and host educational webinars designed to build local knowledge and provide the training necessary from community understanding to modern job creation. Our work is powered by a collective with diverse expertise ranging from management and informatics to healthcare, allowing us to tackle complex challenges with truly innovative solutions. By focusing on reducing harmful emissions, advancing energy efficiency, and enhancing community resilience, we ensure that the transition to renewable energy is not only sustainable but also serves as a foundation for long-term economic and social stability.
