Blake Clough Consulting is a specialist energy consultancy with a focus on electricity networks. We cover a range of areas focussing on power systems studies, electrical design, grid connection consulting, electricity regulation, network innovation and feasibility studies. We have a strong emphasis on our delivery quality, timeliness and customer relationships. For grid consulting, our services include feasibility studies, preparation of grid applications, grid application due diligence, curtailment analysis and cost assessment. Our clients range from electricity network operators, regulators and public sector organisations through to private developers, both onshore and offshore, looking to develop projects such as solar PV, onshore and offshore wind, hydrogen and BESS projects connecting into the electricity networks. We support network operators to understand changes to their electricity networks and future requirements through a range of consulting services. Our work is underpinned by solid analysis and modelling, including technical due diligence, techno-economic assessment, cost benefit analysis, power systems analysis and network modelling. Our software tools include DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD, IPSA, PSSe and AutoCAD. We offer full power systems studies packages for both onshore and offshore renewables, including load flow, reactive compensation, fault level, voltage control and reactive power stability, frequency response, fault ride through, FFCI, G5/4 or G5/5 harmonics, EMT, energisation, voltage fluctuations and flicker, AC system voltage variations, insulation coordination, protection coordingation and settings, arc flash and earthing.
