About Cadac Consoles
The Cadac name has been synonymous with professional audio for more than 50 years. From the earliest analogue studio mixing desks to today's digital live sound systems, Cadac has built a reputation for exceptional audio quality, engineering integrity, and console design that puts the engineer first. Founded in 1968, Cadac takes its name from the first letter of each of the founders' Christian names: Clive Green, Adrian Kerridge, David Bott and Charles Billet. The first Cadac console was installed at the legendary Morgan Studios in London and saw the beginning of a long association with world-class recording environments. Over the following decades, Cadac consoles became renowned for their pristine signal path and sonic performance, helping shape the sound of countless iconic recordings and establishing Cadac as one of the most respected names in professional audio. In 1984, Cadac entered the world of theatre sound, supplying a bespoke console for the West End production of Little Shop of Horrors at the request of sound designer Martin Levan. His requirement was straightforward but demanding: studio-quality audio for live theatre. That console set a new benchmark for theatrical sound reinforcement. What followed was decades of Cadac consoles at the heart of major productions across the West End and Broadway. Today, Cadac combines that legacy with modern digital technology in the CM Series, a professional live sound mixing ecosystem designed for the demands of contemporary audio production. The CM-J50 delivers powerful FPGA/DSP processing, sub-0.4ms latency, and an intuitive touchscreen-based interface built for speed and reliability at front of house and monitors. Every product in the Cadac CM Series is designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom. That commitment to British engineering ensures strict control over build quality, performance standards, and long-term reliability and reflects the same values that have defined Cadac for more than five decades.
