Cal Poly Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship is hosting its first info session on Tuesday, September 15, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Hatchery for the Elevator Pitch Competition.

The Cal Poly Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE) empowers students, founders and small businesses to turn ideas into impact. Through hands-on programs, mentorship, education and access to a thriving entrepreneurial community, the CIE supports Cal Poly students as they explore entrepreneurship and build ventures while connecting startups and small businesses with the resources they need to grow. Our programs span the entrepreneurial journey — from classroom learning and early-stage idea development to startup acceleration, business incubation and small-business support through the Cal Poly CIE Small Business Development Center (SBDC). The CIE is also home to the HotHouse, our downtown San Luis Obispo hub for entrepreneurship, coworking and community connection. Here, founders, small-business owners, mentors, community partners and students come together to learn, build and grow. Rooted in Cal Poly’s Learn by Doing philosophy, the CIE connects campus and community to help develop the next generation of entrepreneurs and strengthen our region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
