About CEA - Collaborative Environmental Advisers
CEA is a growing consultancy specialising in environmental, consenting and permitting support for energy projects and developments on the land-water interface, with terrestrial, marine and coastal components. We have a proven track record in providing robust strategic and technical advice and assisting large scale projects in the renewables and cabling sectors for more than a decade and more recently the nuclear sector. The CEA Ltd team has extensive experience in supporting projects across a variety of sectors, throughout all the lifecycle stages (from project development through to operation and ultimately decommissioning). We have led the environmental management and consenting processes of major offshore infrastructure projects including wind farms developed under Rounds 1, 2 and 3 and interconnectors aimed at securing energy supply for the UK. We have a thorough working knowledge of the DCO process and Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects with strong experience in independent assurance, leading the independent oversight and peer review process for Environmental Permitting Applications, the Development Consent Order and supporting environmental impact assessment documentation for a high profile nuclear new build project. As well as practical experience from working on decommissioning nuclear sites, we have also worked on smaller scale energy projects such as onshore solar and wind and have provided technical assistance on specialist issues such as contaminated land. We pride ourselves on working closely with our clients, often as part of the project team to drive forward consenting, permitting, environmental assessment and environmental management by providing innovative and intelligent advice and reducing consenting risk. We have a network of experts who we work in collaboration with to provide targeted support on a range of environmental specialisms, and who can be brought together to meet our client needs.
