Center for Advanced Preparedness and Threat Response Simulation (CAPTRS) speaker Micael Sousa will speak at Spiel Talks Educators' Day on October 24, 2026, at the SPIEL Essen fair in Germany.

The Center for Advanced Preparedness and Threat Response Simulation (CAPTRS), is a non-profit organization that is transforming the science and practice of preparedness. CAPTRS was created in 2022 by Dr. Lauren Ancel Meyers, Phil Siegel and Molly Pieroni. The team at CAPTRS, which spans the sciences, healthcare, and AI, has built a portfolio of next-generation exercises that equips decision-makers to combat complex threats. CAPTRS partners with public health professionals, scientists, elected officials, and industry leaders to set new standards for preparedness and response across all stages of the decision cycle.
