The Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives (CESSDA) is a distributed research infrastructure for social science data archives across Europe. It was granted the status of an ERIC (European Research Infrastructure Consortium) on 14 June 2017. Its main office is located in Bergen, Norway. CESSDA provides large scale, integrated and sustainable data services to the social sciences. It brings together social science data archives across Europe, with the aim of promoting the results of social science research and supporting national and international research and cooperation. CESSDA is one of five research infrastructures in the field of social and cultural innovation included in the ESFRI 2016 Roadmap (European Strategy Forum for Research Infrastructures).
