The Climate Action Museum (CAM) is a community-driven hub for sustainability and one of only two climate museums in North America — and one of just eight worldwide. Located in downtown Chicago, CAM offers free, hands-on exhibits, workshops, and events designed to empower individuals and communities to take meaningful climate action. Our mission is to activate a tipping point on climate mitigation in the Chicago region through education, stimulating critical thought, and inspiring and facilitating action. At CAM, we believe climate solutions should feel accessible, practical, and hopeful. While the climate challenge can feel daunting, the museum focuses on actionable solutions — from simple home energy-saving strategies to broader community advocacy efforts. We provide the tools and knowledge necessary to help individuals and communities drive meaningful environmental change. The Climate Action Museum is free and open to the public six days a week, creating an inclusive space where people can learn, connect, and take action toward a more sustainable future.
