Donate here: https://www.climate.us/donate In June 2025, NOAA shut down daily operations of its award-winning Climate.gov website. They hid Climate.gov’s home page and froze its social media channels. Just like that, one of the most popular, most trustworthy sources of climate science information on the internet went silent. Now, we are launching a nonprofit successor to Climate.gov: Climate.us. Our mission is to deliver climate information to promote public climate literacy so that people are equipped to turn knowledge into meaningful conversations and climate-conscious actions that build resilience, advance sustainability, and help achieve net-zero carbon emissions. Our approach is simple: protect vital climate science information from political interference or censorship by rescuing at-risk resources and restoring easy access to the facts about our changing planet. Climate.us will stand as a permanent, independent home for authoritative climate information, ensuring that it remains available to everyone. We believe scientific knowledge is a public good and that decisions about our future must be informed by facts. Through this project, we are inviting scientists, educators, advocates, and the public to join in safeguarding the truth—because the climate story belongs to all of us and no one should be able to erase it.
