Commander Naval Surface Force Atlantic's Freedom-class littoral combat ship USS Cooperstown (LCS 23) returns to Naval Station Mayport following a four-month deployment supporting U.S. Northern Command's mission to disrupt illicit drug trafficking and protect the homeland on August 31, 2026.

Commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic SURFLANT mans, trains and equips assigned surface forces and shore activities, ensuring a capable force for conducting prompt and sustained operations in support of United States national interests.
