Community IX is the largest member-run Internet Exchange Point provider, and second largest overall IXP provider in the United States. Community IX operates FL-IX in South Florida, CIX-ATL in the Atlanta metro area and CIX-NoVA in Northern Virginia and Washington D.C. Founded in 2014, our mission is to provide ubiquitous IXP services to service our member interests. Founding partners Netflix, Zayo Group and Host.net provided the initial funding and infrastructure for this leading edge platform. In recent years, Community IX has become self-sufficient and continues to grow. As of July 2026, Community IX services over 250 unique members in three markets with peak traffic levels of over 7.5Tbps and connected capacity of over 45Tbps, representing over 10% of the US IXP market share by capacity.
