Durham University Venture Lab launched its six-month pre-accelerator programme for Durham graduates at Durham Venture School 2026, beginning today.

Durham Venture Lab helps Durham University students and graduates develop their entrepreneurial potential and turn ambitious ideas into ventures with the power to shape industries and create meaningful impact. From exploring entrepreneurship and developing new skills to launching a first idea, side project or venture-backed business, we support students and graduates through coaching, startup programmes, mentoring, funding opportunities and access to a global entrepreneurial network. Our community doesn’t just learn about entrepreneurship — they experience it. Through real venture creation, founder networks, investor exposure, startup accelerators and visits to global innovation hubs including Silicon Valley, students develop the confidence, capabilities and connections to turn ideas into action. Whether they go on to build a company or take an entrepreneurial mindset into their wider careers, we want Durham students and graduates to leave equipped to create change.
