eaMAFIA emerged from Kelly Kovacs' journey as an Executive Assistant at a rapid-growth startup formerly known as Twitter. In 2010, she stepped into her first EA role, supporting the CEO of a 100-person startup called Twitter at the time. As the company skyrocketed to 4,500 employees and went public, Kelly's role evolved to Chief of Staff. Through this whirlwind 6 year journey, one thing became clear: the support and insights shared among fellow EAs were not just beneficial—they were essential to Kelly’s success and the success of the entire company. Her realization sparked an idea. What if there was a way to cultivate and expand this invaluable network of support? In 2020, Kelly launched eaMAFIA, a private community for C-Suite EAs in tech in Silicon Valley. As eaMAFIA took off, it became clear that EAs across the globe were seeking the same connection, growth, and shared wisdom. Four years later, Kelly expanded the community to welcome EAs from all industries, levels of support, and places around the globe. Today, eaMAFIA has over 350 members, 80% of whom support an executive in the C-Suite. This community more than just a professional network. It's a launchpad for career growth, a trusted circle, and a hub for sharing the unwritten and ever-evolving rules of executive support. Our members come from diverse backgrounds and career stages. They're united by a drive for excellence and a desire to support one another. Our community is designed for the modern EA working in tech and VC.
