The family company, founded in 1961, employs more than 11,000 people. At 22 plants across the world, it produces an extensive product range of wood-based materials (chipboards, OSB and MDF boards) as well as timber. EGGER (UK) Limited has two plants: EGGER Hexham in Northumberland and EGGER Barony in Ayrshire. There are over 800 EGGER employees in the UK, this includes EGGER Forestry and EGGER Timberpak Ltd. The EGGER Group generated a turnover of EUR 4.13 billion in the 2023/2024 business year and has worldwide customers in the furniture industry, wood and flooring retailers, as well as DIY markets.
