About ELDiCo - Exploitative Leadership in Digital Collaboration

Welcome to our LinkedIn page! Here we provide you with updates on current developments in our research project "Exploitative Leadership in Digital Collaboration" (ELDiCO), funded by the Bavarian Research Institute for Digital Transformation (bidt). Digital communication tools such as video conferencing systems, enterprise social networks, messengers, and virtual Kanban boards have become indispensable tools for collaboration between leaders and employees. They facilitate idea exchange and promote flexible working. However, despite their advantages, the use of these tools also poses risks: the distance they create can lead to destructive leadership practices. Our goal is to better understand this downside of digital leadership by identifying central mechanisms and developing approaches to promote the resilience of employees, leaders, and the design of digital communication tools. As part of our research project, we will regularly share insights and updates. Follow us to learn more about our findings and actively participate in the discussion on promoting resilient digital leadership! Also, you can listen to our project podcast "Unveiling Shadows: Exploring the Intersection of AI, Hybrid Work, and Dark Leadership" on Spotify. Stay tuned for exciting developments and new insights.
