Embedded Expertise published an article that explores the parallel between Boronali, the Dunning-Kruger effect, and the code generated by AI.

Embedded Expertise is an independent design and consultancy practice specializing in embedded systems architecture and hardware-aware software development. We work on complex platforms combining application processors, real-time controllers, and hardware accelerators such as GPU, NPU, or FPGA. These systems span multiple execution domains, often sharing memory and peripherals, with competing constraints on performance, latency, power, and long-term maintainability. In this context, the difficulty is not in individual components, but in their interaction. System behavior emerges from memory access patterns, DMA and bandwidth contention, scheduling across domains, and the way data moves through the platform, especially under load. Security is part of that same problem. It is not added afterwards, but shaped by architecture: control over interfaces, data flows, update mechanisms, and the system’s ability to remain trustworthy over time. Our work focuses on two situations:   • Designing new platforms on solid architectural foundations   • Recovering or stabilizing existing systems that have become difficult to control, evolve, or secure We intervene at system level, where technical decisions have lasting impact on the product and its lifecycle. The objective is to ensure that the platform remains understandable, controllable, and robust as it grows in complexity.
