About Flock Bio
We build custom pooled DNA libraries for protein engineering, gene therapy, RNA medicines, synthetic biology, vaccine development, and much more. Our founding team built hundreds of pooled libraries together at Circularis and Ginkgo Bioworks across 11 different organisms before launching Flock Bio in 2025. We watched bench teams burn months on libraries that came back with too much starting vector, missing inserts, multi-insert artifacts, and noisy NGS data. There are lots of companies that sell DNA. None that quickly make high-quality pooled DNA libraries immediately ready for cell or animal testing. That's what we build. What you get: - Variant libraries, MPRAs, gRNA pools, AAV capsid pools, promoter/UTR/IRES libraries, multi-ORF designs, and more - Up to 100M+ variants per pool - As fast as 6 business days for select build types - Starting at ~$6,700 in cloning and QC costs, with full NGS validation, barcode-to-variant lookup tables, under 0.1% misassembly, endofree and cell-ready DNA preps - Bundled design support from a team that has spent the last 7+ years inside this problem We work with a network of 7 different DNA synthesis providers so we can mix and match market-ready and early-access products within the same library build. The result: libraries we'd actually use in our own experiments, shipping faster than in-house and at roughly half the fully-burdened cost. We don't ship anything we wouldn't use ourselves.
