Math teachers spend ten to fifteen hours a week grading by hand, and most of it produces a single number at the top of the page and no information about why the student got there. Frizzle changes that. Teachers scan in a stack of handwritten assignments. Within minutes, each one is scored, the exact step where a student's reasoning broke down is flagged, and the work becomes standards-aligned data a teacher can use the next morning. No bubble sheets. No new device in every kid's hands. The paper stays paper. For principals, that's real-time visibility into how students reason through math across every classroom with no test added to the calendar. For districts, the same signal rolls up system-wide. Because it's continuous instead of three benchmark windows a year, students who need support surface as the work comes in, which strengthens the MTSS work you already do without being one more thing to administer. Our cofounders started one of the largest math circles in the Chicago area in high school and spent years studying how students work through problems on paper.
