Funny Women CIC hosted a show at the Edinburgh Fringe event.

Funny Women CIC is a non-profit organisation founded by Lynne Parker BCAa in 2002 to empower women find their voice through performing, writing and using humour in business and everyday life. A recognised force for good in the arts, entertainment and creative sectors, Funny Women finds and supports the female comedy stars of tomorrow through its annual Awards and active community programme. The Funny Women Awards have raised the profile of women's comedy across the UK and globally over the last 21 years and helped launch the careers of household names including Sarah Millican, Susan Calman, Katherine Ryan, Sara Pascoe, Jayde Adams, Zoe Lyons, Diane Morgan, Andi Osho and many more. Funny Women provides a centre of excellence for comedy skills and runs workshops, courses and shows. The Glitter Project, an outreach and community engagement programme funded by Arts Council England launched in 2024, makes its services accessible with the objective of enhancing health and wellbeing through comedy. Initiatives to support diversity and inclusion in the workplace for organisations like FSB, NatWest, Canada Life and VistraCorp, generate income for Funny Women to support its community outreach and development programmes. With the focus on leadership and confidence for those who identify as female, programmes including HERlarious, Comedy in the Community, How to Have Fun at Work and Stand Up to Stand Out have had significant impact. Participants engage in our events and workshops for both professional and personal development, male allyship is encouraged and all genders are empowered to have a voice.
