Glider created Asset Intelligence, the discipline that ensures the people responsible for buildings can find, trust and act on the information they need across the full lifecycle of a building. Most of the built environment is already built. Many of the buildings in use today were never delivered with structured information or have lost confidence in it over years of uncoordinated change. Our work is to help owners and operators restore, govern and use that information, so it remains reliable as buildings evolve. On new projects, we help contractors produce information to a standard that survives handover and continues to serve operation. Parts of Asset Intelligence will look familiar. Practitioners in design, handover, asset management and FM already do pieces of it within their stage. What no existing discipline does is bring these activities together across the full lifecycle. That is what Asset Intelligence names. It is also a discipline that describes the how, not just the what. Glider’s roots are in digital handover and information delivery, strengthened by the 2024 acquisition of EDocuments and more than 30 years of combined industry experience. That heritage supports contractors on new projects. It also equips us to work with owners and operators on existing estates, where most of the built environment sits and where most of the information challenge lives today.
