The Hartford Chorale is a symphonic chorus, volunteer-based, not-for-profit organization that presents masterpieces of great choral art throughout southern New England and beyond, serving as the primary symphonic chorus for the Greater Hartford community. Through its concerts and collaborations with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and other organizations, the Hartford Chorale engages the widest possible audiences with exceptional performances of a broad range of choral literature, providing talented singers with the opportunity to study and perform at a professional level. The Chorale comprises 130 avocational singers—musicians, educators, students, doctors, lawyers, engineers, and more—who bring professional-caliber talent to our stage. Our members live throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts and represent a wide array of careers and communities. They are supported by a core team of professional vocal section leaders and guided by an accomplished musical leadership team. We also offer a unique intern program for high school and college students, including scholarship opportunities to foster the next generation of choral artists.
