Hill Country Transit District is hiring a Community Engagement Intern to gain hands-on experience, connect with riders and community partners, and learn about public transportation in Central Texas.

Hill Country Transit District (HCTD), operating as The HOP, is a regional public transportation provider dedicated to connecting communities across Central Texas. Serving Bell, Coryell, and Milam counties. The HOP delivers innovative, accessible mobility solutions that help residents and visitors reach jobs, healthcare, education, and essential services. Our services include microtransit, demand-response transportation, a regional urban connector, and the Cavazos Connector service on Fort Hood. All of our services are designed to meet the diverse mobility needs of both urban and rural communities. By combining technology-driven booking tools with responsive customer service, we provide convenient and affordable transportation options that support everyday travel and regional connectivity. As a political subdivision of the State of Texas, HCTD works closely with local governments, community partners, and regional planning organizations to improve mobility and enhance quality of life throughout the region.
