Institut Cochin published a study revealing that CFTR modulator therapy (ETI/Kaftrio) has contrasting effects on neutrophils in cystic fibrosis, with ETI restoring a neutrophil subset involved in detecting microbes and migrating to infection sites while promoting another subset expressing PD-L1.

The Institut Cochin is a research center under the joint administrative supervision of Inserm (U1016), CNRS (UMR 8104) and Paris Cité University (UMR-S1016). The Institute hosts around 650 researchers, clinicians, teacher-researchers, technical and administrative engineers, postdoctoral fellows, doctoral students, and trainees. It has 41 teams and ten technological platforms. Together, we share the objective to advance knowledge of the biological mechanisms controlling physiological and pathological situations in humans.
