Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE supports regional cooperation among nine central European countries: Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia, as well as parts of Germany and Italy. We help great ideas come true through cooperation beyond borders. We aim to fund projects that bring together professionals across central Europe to work on shared challenges. Our programme is for cooperation what yeast is for baking: we are the tiny but important ingredient that lets ideas grow into jointly developed, tested and accepted solutions. The overall objective is “to cooperate beyond borders to make central European cities and regions better places to live and work” by implementing smart solutions answering to regional challenges in the fields of innovation, low-carbon economy, environment, culture and transport. The total programme budget for projects will be around 231 million Euros from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
