Kronos Fusion Energy is developing compact, low-neutron fusion generators — and publishing the work behind them. We build two machines in sequence. HYPERION is a compact deuterium–tritium spherical tokamak — an isotope foundry that breeds the tritium and helium-3 a fusion economy needs. The Kronos generator is a low-neutron deuterium–helium-3 tandem mirror with direct energy conversion, offered in two forms: Aegis for fixed defense installations and MetroVolt for cities and data centers. Our philosophy is simple: build the fuel first, then the machine that burns it. The goal is firm, carbon-free power at the scale the grid, national defense, and AI compute now require — engineered, financed, and de-risked with discipline. What sets us apart is how we work. The physics is closed and reproducible: our full design is released as open data on Zenodo (CC BY 4.0), the key results run in a live in-browser simulation, and the open problems are named alongside the wins. Our founding team and advisors have designed the magnets, pioneered the fuel, and built the machines behind much of modern fusion — from Alcator and ITER to NIF and the leading stellarators. Conceptual design and simulation stage today; prototype construction targeted for 2030 and a commercial fleet for 2036 and beyond. Run the physics yourself → kronosfusionenergy.com
