It all started in 1955 when Jack Standring opened his first shop in Ambleside, the heart of the English Lake District. We are now the UK’s largest leather retailer and still based in the stunning Lakes. Our passion is making beautiful leather goods that are made to last and bring joy to your wardrobe. Every hide is unique and needs the eye of an expert to get the beauty to reveal itself that's why we're proud to source all our own leather and be a member of the Leather Working Group to ensure we can maintain our impeccable standards.
