nablet is a German professional-video technology company that has spent more than 14 years building a broad proprietary video-processing stack entirely in-house. Unlike many vendors that rely heavily on the same open-source components, we own the critical technologies behind our products — including codecs, container formats, image processing, smart rendering, fingerprinting, forensic watermarking and professional workflow integrations. Our strategy from day one was unusual: we selectively licensed SDKs to a small number of major customers such as Sony, IBM and Intel. Those revenues financed our development, while real-world use at Tier-1 customers helped us test and optimize the technology. The IP always remained with nablet. About three years ago, we started reducing broad SDK licensing because we no longer want to enable future competitors with our own core technology. Instead, we are now monetizing the same IP through our own platforms, cloud services, applications and content-intelligence products.
