Nadácia DEDO / Foundation DEDO published a first report on the change management region shift.

With our mission statement "Family belongs home" we focus on prevention and ending of family homelessness and development of social enterpreneurship. Foundation DEDO • has served families in crisis and young adults leaving public care across Slovakia since 1997 and implemented social inovations that are now a part of legislation on a national level • in the last years shifted the focus from crisis intervention in social services to solutions focused on preventing and ending of homelessness • through the development of social rental housing with professional support to the families from multidisciplinary team - social worker, healthcare professional, lawyer, psychologist - as well as advocacy and employment in social enterprise, we are aiming for the social change • with Housing First approach (in the contrast to the current Housing Ready system) that perceives homelessness as a violation of human rights and understands it as a very complex issue and result of structural and system problems • Social rental housing with professional support, Employment, Advocacy and Education are our key activities, while having in our sight the Availability of housing, Social Inovation and Social Change.
