About Nashua River Watershed Association

The mission of the Nashua River Watershed Association is to work for a healthy ecosystem with clean water and open spaces for human and wildlife communities, where people work together to sustain mutual economic and environmental well-being in the Nashua River watershed. The NRWA protects and advocates for clean water for all; restores and protects greenways and aquatic ecosystems; protects and advocates for land resources and terrestrial ecosystems; addresses impacts of climate change with nature-based solutions; and provides hands-on, science-based education for youth and adults. The Nashua River watershed includes 31 communities in north central Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. Much of the Nashua River, and all of its two major tributaries, the Squannacook and Nissitissit Rivers are designated part of the national Wild and Scenic Rivers System.
