About North East & Yorkshire Net Zero Hub
Energy demand across the North East and Yorkshire is projected to double in the next decade. The North East and Yorkshire Net Zero Hub is playing a leading role in making sure our region has the energy it needs to power our homes and businesses – and our wider economy. We're part of a national network of Net Zero Hubs in England, funded and directed by government to support local areas with the development of energy projects and managed locally in a partnership of the region's six Combined Authorities. Our new Memorandum of Understanding with government tasks us with supporting publicly owned energy company Great British Energy with the identification and development of the energy projects which will achieve the Clean Energy 2030 mission and delivery of the forthcoming Local Power Plan and Warm Homes Plan For more information, please check out our website at the link above.
