About ON-LEAD - National Observatory on Leadership and Managerial Development
ON-LEAD – National Observatory on Leadership and Managerial Development is an initiative promoted and supported by the Department of Psychology of the University of Bologna, Federmanager, Confindustria Emilia-Romagna, EBMc – Evidence-Based Management Consultancy, and other prestigious associations and institutions. ON-LEAD was established to monitor, study, and promote innovative, responsible, and inclusive leadership and managerial practices, responding to the growing need to ground leadership development in scientific evidence, reliable data, and rigorous knowledge. The Observatory fosters dialogue between academia, institutions, companies, trade unions, and professional associations, generating knowledge to address contemporary economic, organizational, and social challenges. Its mission is to analyse the evolving dynamics of leadership and management in Italy, support the dissemination of sustainable and inclusive organizational models, and build a national network of public and private stakeholders. ON-LEAD also facilitates the transfer of knowledge and best practices, supports the development of leadership and managerial competencies, and promotes employee performance through effective, evidence-based leadership. ON-LEAD’s activities include research projects and national or sectoral studies, a permanent observatory producing periodic reports, events and seminars, publications such as research reports and policy briefs, and training initiatives focused on inclusive and sustainable leadership. The Observatory also serves as a platform for networking and exchange between research, organizations, and civil society. The Scientific Coordination of ON-LEAD is led by Professor Filippo Ferrari, Professor of Leadership at the University of Bologna. The technical and organizational management is carried out by EBMc, a non-profit organization committed to promoting evidence-based managerial practices.
