Osoosi builds Artificial Pilot Awareness: on-device spatial AI that perceives the cockpit, reasons about the airspace, and advises the pilot in real time. Aviation solved sensing decades ago. It never solved comprehension. Every generation of avionics has added another display, another alert, another mode for the pilot to track, and roughly seventy percent of accidents still trace back to human error. More data has not produced more awareness. Savo is our answer. It reads the panel with computer vision, fuses that with voice and flight data on-device, and gives the pilot a second set of eyes that understands what the aircraft is actually doing. It runs on the iPad already in the cockpit. No avionics modification, no supplemental type certificate, no downtime. Savo is built for human-machine teaming, not automation. The pilot in command stays the pilot in command. That architecture is also what makes Savo deployable: it reaches aircraft that a certified panel upgrade will never economically justify. We start where the risk concentrates: owner-operators flying legacy piston aircraft with steam-gauge and partial-retrofit panels, where the existing tooling stops at charts and checklists. From there, Savo extends into flight training, commercial operations, defense, and autonomous flight. Osoosi is a Delaware C-Corp based in San Diego and a portfolio company of the EvoNexus incubator, advised by former FAA leadership and experimental test pilots. Founder and CEO DJ Catlin brings twenty years in aerospace across U.S. Air Force avionics, NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center, and Supernal, where he led the first full-scale eVTOL flight demonstrator. CTO Xavier Johnson leads model and platform engineering. Chief Legal and Compliance Officer Byron Donovan owns the regulatory architecture behind Savo's path into the certified fleet.
