About PIDSO--Propagation Ideas and Solutions
PIDSO - Propagation Ideas and Solutions, is based in Vienna, Austria, and is a world leader in developing custom lightweight antennas and specialized antenna solutions for Unmanned Aerial Systems and other applications. PIDSO has created a series of benchmark antennas out of carbon-fiber, foam, and other materials that address weight and durability issues with UAS antennas, and won the prestigious Mercur award as Austria's top high tech innovator of 2010. PIDSO has recently expanded its operation to offer products and services in the United States and other world regions, and has focused on development of advanced tracking antenna solutions to extend range and improve non-line-of-sight scenarios for UAS. In Europe, the company is working with BMW, Porsche, Schiebel, and a range of customers; in the U.S., through its subsidiary PIDSO Inc., it is working on development projects with Boeing and Lockheed Martin and supplying antennas and related products to Aerovironment, Prioria, Scion UAS, Embry-Riddle, 3D Robotics, and also supplying to the amateur market via DIY Drones. The Boeing Corporation has officially endorsed PIDSO's solution to extend range for UAS, and has engaged the company to develop and integrate this solution with its small UAS fleet. In addition to its own portfolio, PIDSO is an authorized distributor of premium standard antennas and components for L-Com Global Connectivity.
