Playtime Project welcomed special guests including Dr. Beth from Archaeology in the Community, Dr. Ann from Science is Elemental, Ms. Esther from Health Sense at University of Maryland, Mr. Jason from Watkins Regional Park, Ms. Farrah, a summer intern, Ms. Naoko from Naoko Kamioka Origami for All Kids, and Dr. Butler from Georgetown University to the summer camps.

We believe that play is a human right that all children deserve, regardless of housing status. Playtime Project provides play programs for children experiencing housing insecurity in Washington, DC, and Prince George’s County, MD. Since 2003, our trained and screened volunteers have provided weekly activities, healthy snacks, and opportunities to play and learn for the children at emergency shelter and transitional housing sites in the District of Columbia.
