Praxis is sharpening its focus. Our work centers on two core areas: Executive Intelligence and TOD + Development Strategy. Executive Intelligence supports senior transit leaders who face challenges no handbook can cover—board dynamics, politics, organizational friction, stakeholder pressure, tough calls, and the loneliness that can come with leading at the highest level. What sets our approach apart is simple: it’s grounded in real experience. We’re not teaching abstract leadership theory. We’re helping transit leaders work through real situations with the benefit of practical insight, perspective, and judgment from people who have actually been in the role. TOD + Development Strategy focuses on agencies and public institutions that want to advance development but need to know whether the conditions truly support it. A strong site, a solid plan, and community backing are important—but they’re not enough if the market, economics, capital, governance, risk, and institutional capacity don’t align. These are two very different types of work, yet our approach is consistent across both. We dive into what’s really happening, understand the environment surrounding each decision, and determine what it will take to move an idea into action. That’s where Praxis is concentrating its energy.
