It leads into a real-time process control product that will construct geometric models of your Operating Envelope using an ML-like method based on geometry and not on neural nets and complete with operator display and OPC interfaces to be configured to your DCS and other instrumentation sources.

We are the inventors, developers and supporters of Geometric Process Control technology and as very experienced chemical engineers have focussed on the operational problems of all types of process plants by process and control engineers. Our CVE product allows you to understand your entire operation, including across multiple units and in individual operating Modes, Phases and Grades by showing how 1,000 or more variables behave in one interrogative visualization of time-series data from process, laboratory, emissions and lagging KPI achievement by showing you the Operating Windows and Envelopes you are using today and those you should be using and where you should be placing Operator Alarm Limits. The benefits of one over the other are usually easily extracted. Process control then has the role of keeping operation inside the chosen Operating Window or Envelope on all variables at all times so CVE in conjunction with our real-time CPM product work together to create a geometric model of an Operating Envelope complete with Operator display and OPC Client interfaces. No maths and no equations are needed, high-school maths is sufficient but what you will need is good knowledge of your process and its actual operating practices. You can use the CPM models with process history data for investigating past performance and seeing how the model would have coped with operating problems encountered in the past; you can use the model for Operator Training Simulators; you can use the model as a Digital Twin for a process operator giving open-loop operating guidance; and you can use the model to give very early notification of variables starting to diverge from their normal behavior relative to other variables which often detects plant problems long before a human would recognize a problem so giving the maintenance function time to schedule orderly intervention before equipment failure and avoiding an always-expensive plant shut-down.
