Salt VC announced that Peterson Ventures is now Salt VC.

Salt VC is an early-stage venture capital firm built to back founders from inception. We go deep in the ecosystems we know best, meet exceptional people long before they're raising, and move with conviction while others wait for proof. We lead pre-seed and seed rounds, most often for founders building AI-native solutions across the future of work, fintech, healthcare, and commerce. Over the past 15 years, we’ve had the privilege of backing founders from inception who have gone on to build category-defining companies, including Ethos, Allbirds, Lucid Software, and Cotopaxi. Today, we’re partnering with the next generation of founders building companies like Clutch, Nomi Health, ClearJet, SchoolAI, Cambio, Casca, Tava Health, Tiny Health, and Stablecore. In 2026, Peterson Ventures spun out of the Peterson Partners platform and rebranded as Salt VC, bringing the existing seed and pre-seed stage venture funds with it. While our name has changed, our team, funds, strategy, and commitment to founders and LPs remain the same. We are incredibly grateful to our colleagues and partners at Peterson Partners; they played an invaluable role in laying the foundation for this next chapter. We look forward to continued collaboration with them in the future. We chose the name Salt VC because, throughout history, salt enabled movement, trade, and human progress. We believe our role is to do the same for founders: enhance what they’re building, connect them with the people and opportunities that matter most, and partner with them for the long term.
