St Leonard’s Hospice is an independent charity providing specialist palliative and end of life care to people in York and across North Yorkshire. From diagnosis, we are here to support anyone living with a life-limiting and terminal illness, as well as those close to them. Our services include our Inpatient Unit, Hospice@Home, carer support, bereavement services, and wellbeing support. All of our care is provided free of charge to patients and their families, when they need it most. But that care is not free to deliver. It costs £10.5 million each year to run the Hospice. While we receive some public funding, the majority is only possible thanks to the generosity and support of our local community.
