STM is holding Innovation & Integrity Days 2026 with two calls open for innovators and publishers.

STM is the global association for academic and professional publishers, learned societies, and university presses — united by a shared commitment to advancing trusted research worldwide. Our members publish the majority of the world's journal articles and thousands of monographs and reference works across every discipline. Together, we work to ensure that scholarly knowledge is credible, accessible, and discoverable in perpetuity. We focus our collective efforts across four strategic areas: research integrity, open research, standards and technology, and social responsibility. STM convenes cross-industry collaboration to address the most pressing challenges in each — from detecting and deterring systematic manipulation of the scholarly record, to developing shared infrastructure, promoting equitable access, and embedding responsible, sustainable practices across the ecosystem. Underpinning all of this is ongoing work in policy and advocacy, IP and copyright, strategic communications, and events and training — the connective tissue that enables our members to navigate a rapidly evolving landscape together. STM convenes, connects, and catalyses. We bring our global membership together to shape the future of scholarly communication — for publishers, researchers, institutions, and society as a whole.
