About Strength in Service Rooted in Community, Driven by Connection Strength in Service provides military-culturally-competent mental health care, career pathways for military spouses, and social health advocacy to eradicate isolation and prevent suicide. Founded by military spouse and 2024 Pat Tillman Scholar Crystal Bettenhausen-Bubulka, LCSW, after calling 30 TRICARE providers with zero results, we're building the solution military families desperately need. What We Do Mental Health Therapy Individual and group therapy for military families, veterans, and first responders addressing deployment stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, social isolation, relationship challenges, and grief. We accept major insurance, offer sliding scale fees, and maintain zero waitlists. Career Mentorship & Opportunities We address 21% military spouse unemployment by providing clinical supervision, flexible employment, and training for Associate Social Workers pursuing licensure—creating sustainable careers that survive relocations. Social Health Advocacy We combat isolation through Social Health Ambassador training, the 5-3-1 connection framework, corporate workshops, community programs, and evidence-based suicide prevention.
