TensionIQ is a cargo safety intelligence company focused on bringing real-time visibility, securement-state awareness, and predictive risk detection to cargo securement operations. The transportation industry has spent decades creating visibility into vehicles, drivers, routes, and fleet operations, yet cargo itself remains largely unmanaged once a load begins moving. TensionIQ was founded on the belief that cargo securement is the next major opportunity for operational intelligence, safety improvement, and risk reduction. Supported by a growing portfolio of 18 patent applications, TensionIQ is developing technology designed to monitor cargo securement conditions, evaluate Working Load Limit (WLL) status, identify securement-state changes, and provide actionable intelligence before cargo-related incidents occur. The vision extends beyond traditional monitoring to the creation of a new layer of cargo intelligence capable of supporting safety, compliance, operational decision-making, and future predictive analytics. TensionIQ is currently advancing through prototype development and industry engagement with transportation stakeholders, fleet operators, technology providers, insurers, and government agencies. Initial development efforts are focused on commercial trucking, where cargo securement requirements, operational complexity, and safety considerations create a strong foundation for validation and deployment. Long term, the underlying intellectual property and technology architecture are intended to support broader applications across rail, maritime, aviation, defense, intermodal transportation, and supply chain operations. My objective is not simply to build another transportation technology product. The goal is to help establish a new category of cargo intelligence that improves safety, enhances operational awareness, strengthens compliance readiness, and enables better risk management throughout the movement of freight.
