25 years into the interactive era, media and politics are still stuck in outdated 20th century broadcast mode. The function of journalism has moved beyond the reporting of facts and the presenting of opinions (as the saying now goes: everyone has one). The mission is now about convening the audience and leading it to consensus for action on solutions to major issues.
