This means working both with how decisions are developed and with the organizational factors that influence them. How problems are framed, objectives clarified, alternatives developed, and trade-offs evaluated. But also how priorities, meetings, initiatives, and responsibilities affect an organization's ability to make decisions. Many organizations invest heavily in reporting, analytics, and decision support. At the same time, many of the most difficult decisions are not constrained by a lack of data, but by knowing what information is needed, when it is needed, and how it should be used.
