HUN-REN Hungarian Research Network is the flagship institution of Hungary’s innovation ecosystem, connecting 7 research centres, 8 institutes, 101 supported research groups, with 5,000 researchers and experts across the natural sciences, life sciences, mathematics and strategic management. Our mission is to advance curiosity-driven discovery and impact-oriented research, transforming knowledge into long-term value for society, the economy, and the environment. Since December 2024, HUN-REN has operated independently under a dedicated law, ensuring organisational, financial, and research autonomy. This framework allows us to pursue world-class science efficiently and transparently, while fostering collaboration across disciplines and with international partners. We are passionate professionals united by a common purpose: to strengthen a performance-driven research network that addresses both national and global challenges.
