The ECSPR - European Crowdfunding Service Providers Regulation - adopted in 2020 and fully applicable since 2023, allows every European to invest in startups, which was previously limited to the wealthy elite and fragmented across 27 national regimes. Now, a single license lets platforms operate across the entire EU, and thousands of everyday investors put hundreds of millions of euros into startups every year. Europe has no pan-European data authority.
