The Sustainable Manufacturing and Environmental Pollution (SMEP) programme has been established by the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) under the Research Science and Technology Division. The programme is implemented in partnership with UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD). Through a series of staggered grant funding calls, the programme is piloting technology-based solutions to address the most pressing environmental health issues associated with manufacturing in focus countries. By investing in viable business processes Programme promotes sustained and wider uptake of identified pollution control solutions. The SMEP Project Management Agent comprises a consortium bringing together colleagues from @PegasysConsulting and @SouthSouthNorth.
